No Man’s String Band is Nic Hentges, Melissa Hentges, Justin Rosckes, Pat Loftus, and Lindsey Bordner. We formed in 2011 hoping for an excuse to simply get together, write songs, and maybe play a show or two. All these years later we have experienced more together than we imagined we would. Real songs written and performed by real friends, more grateful for each other and for you than we could ever express.
Our recent album, Love Song, is a collection of songs that are truly from our heart. Bluegrass Storm a Rollin’ was written to put on display the love we have for playing this driving music. Cicada Love Song is a song about connection. Reminding us that sounds, memories, emotions, and feelings are all linked. This is Love is the story of becoming parents, something this band has experienced many times over. MEEA’s Waltz is a tune written for all of our beautiful children. Whisper Your Name is a recognition of loss. We all experience it and together we can find healing. Nobody Said sums it all up, nobody said it would be easy.
Our previous release, All is Fair in Love and Bluegrass, was released in 2016. We wanted to record music that was undoubtedly bluegrass, entirely us, and completely approachable for lovers of traditional and original music. Our debut album, Let The Truth Be Told, was released in 2013 and features a wide array of songs showcasing our varied influences. The song Auction Caller was features on a compilation released by Old Hand record Company.
